Vancouver - Outdoor Paradise

Spent the weekend exploring Vancouver, British Columbia. It is an outdoor paradise with no end to the amount of activity you can pursue in nature. There's simply too much to do in a single weekend, so for the most part I stuck to the basics and toured around the city on foot and on bike.

I did get out of the city limits to explore the surroundings on Sunday. Such a beautiful place and I hope to return when I have even more time to explore.

Winter in San Francisco

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities in the world to visit. It has such incredible life and charm. Most people like to visit in the Spring or Fall (the Summer is too cold!) but my favorite time in San Francisco is the Winter.

The Golden Gate Bridge is the most famous landmark in San Francisco, and is possibly the most famous bridge in the World. But I secretly like the Bay Bridge much more. Here it is in its majesty on a cold winter morning as the sun rises over the San Francisco Bay.

Holland Park

Holland Park in London is one of my favorite places to wander, no matter what the season. This shot is of the Kyoto Gardens in the late Autumn.

Places I Still Have Never Been To

I'm lucky. I travel a lot.

Lately, most of my travels have been through Europe. I'm currently relaxing in Spain and I've visited most of the country, including the Costa Brava.

Last night I started putting together a list of the places that I have not been to, but really would like to visit one day. They are:

• Argentina
• New Zealand
• South Africa
• Japan
• Alaska

I'll get to each one of them someday. How about you? Where are you itching to travel?

Eleven from Stranger Things

OK, I know this doesn't have much to do with travel, but I was catching up on Netflix while enjoying some downtime in Madrid and I think this shot of Eleven from Stranger Things is one of the most bad-ass things I've seen in a while. Go, Eleven! I just learned that the actress who plays her was born in Spain, which is where I'm currently hanging out. OK, I guess this post does have a little to do with travel.

Calella de Palafrugell

This is one of my favorite spots on the Costa Brava, located in wonderful Catalonia, Spain. It's about an hour and a half up the coast from Barcelona. The town is packed solid in the Summer and is a popular local holiday spot. I was lucky enough to visit in early October, when most of the tourists were gone.
