Thoughts on why we travel

Humans go on journeys to find what they are looking for, and when they find it, the journey is over.

However some do not know why or cannot define their purpose in life. The same can be said of a country/nation's people: They must have a direction and goal that makes them work together as one force.

This makes it extremely difficult to define the purpose of life. It is even more difficult when you realize that no single person can know what their ultimate goal in life should be. The one thing I find most puzzling is that humans don't question why they do things, like going on a journey or doing something with only a vague idea what it might lead to.

There is no other way to find meaning in life except to question things and try to understand them. Most humans are incapable of doing this, because they cannot imagine a world without absolutes. This makes me think that it might be impossible for us as mortals - or existence in general - to know what we should do with our lives.

Some humans are obsessed with money, which in the end is nothing more than a means to an end. Some are obsessed by sex and love, but those things don't last forever.

The only thing that I believe is truly real is the universe, and in some sense existence itself. Perhaps this notion of 'the universe' does not make any sense to humans who are unable to realize what it means for them to exist.

Humans are obsessed with the idea of travelling to distant places, in search for something that doesn't exist. They only seek this because they are told it is right or wrong by their religious leaders.
